My home is my studio; my studio is my home. I create many different types of art which you can read about here.

This month I am working on another of my Scatterlings©. Scatterlings© is a collection of self-directed enchantment art which combines actual foliage with watercolor and color pencil mediums. Hidden among the actual and rendered foliage are an enchanted assortment of 'Scatterlings'©; mythical animals and fairies.

A framed Scatterlings© on the mantel; awaiting a gallery.

novfioli

This is the upcoming Scatterlings© I am working on. The tree shown stands at the Filoli House which is located 30 miles south of San Francisco. Every third Thursday of the month Filoli allows artists and photographers to have access to the garden after hours.

flower angel

I grow most of the flowers that are dried and pressed in my Scatterlings. I tell people this is a photo of an angel I caught blessing my flowers early one morning.

on1 shelf

Close-up of hand-made Christmas ornaments, a stack of Interior Design books, mixed in with some antiques acquired along the way.

shelf

My modified light table; assorted collage and mixed media supplies; a few of my books and magazines. This is right off the fireplace; which is quite soothing - doing art with a fire crackling and some quiet music barely audible.

on2 desk

Embellishments, collage, mixed media supplies, glues, beads; the other side of my modified light table.

on3

Feathers; glass bottles preserving dried flowers; stamps, inks; critters in the making.

shelf shelf

More books on computer software; many many art technique books, books on advertising and marketing; antique bookcase. Is there ever enough book shelves?

on7

Kitchen window; angels, angels and more angels; some altered magnets I am working on.

Next month I will feature another corner of my studio - featuring where I work on dry and oil pastels, collage/mixed media, pointillism, watercolors, perspective renderings and my computer workstation.

Hi Ascender,
Seeing many of the different angles of your creative space makes me hunger to soak it in and meet you in real life.
My eyes drink in your luscious spaces, variety of materials, and creations in different media. Those Scatterlings are richly full of texture and design. Although I haven't posted such on my blog, I love to work in collage, too.
(My studio is also my home.)
Mmmmmm. I came from your art blog where I felt at home. Your work shows passion, talent, and uniqueness.

I got so engrossed with your creative space I just burned my soysages. Oh well - worth it. No wonder you are so prolifice - look how you have everything a place of its own! I try. Still my floor, as we speak, is filling up with stacks of things.
Do post some close up of the scatterlings - these are so lovely, and imaginative (I can't see the hidden critters but that's just the copy I get I think) - the colors and feeling and texture: yum!
And I too love your angel.
