"Here's where all my bad ideas come about... A cheap drafting table form a college bookstore, cluttered with half drawn comics and spent pens that I don't have the heart, or energy, to throw away. The God of good fortune and creativity, in the middle right, looms over the desk... Taunting me... Always taunting me..."

"This is the first thing I ever built with my tools. An enormous desk that weighs more than a small northern Maine village. This is where I write, browse, procrastinate and cry. So many tears. My laptop is a refurbished MacBook Pro, which I’m considering having surgically attached to my torso. It’s warm glow and overheated titanium casing help me sleep better than an Ambien dissolved in a glass of Maker's."

"That's Norman, the Tubby, snoozing in his favorite chair. Next to him is my axe, ready to fake rock out at any fake moment. Above him is a sports section from the 1946 World Series that I found under the flooring in the guest room." -C.P.

No way - you tidied up before you took those photos, didn't you?
